Raspberry leaf contains the alkaloid, fragrine, which can help strengthen the uterus and the pelvic area in preparation for labour. The red compounds in its leaves are also high in antioxidants, anti-inflammatory and have immune system boosting properties.
Tulsi (Holy Basil) is a wonder herb. It’s adaptogenic which helps to balance hormones and lower stress levels. It’s a good source of vitamin K which is great for clot formation following bleeding (labour) and is commonly used for wound healing.
Stinging nettle has a rich iron-rich content and is traditionally used to fight postpartum fatigue by building up the blood supply.
